Off the Cuff
The “Off the Cuff” program was developed at Duke University and is a group for parents and/or caregivers of children age 12-24 who have had, or are currently dealing with an eating disorder. The purpose of the group is to support & educate the caregivers in order to reduce their stress and increase positive coping for both parent and child. It is currently one of the most effective programs for caregivers in North America. Participants are provided with an Off the Cuff manual & meet weekly for 1.25 hours, the duration being around 12 weeks. The caregiver does not need to have a child currently receiving services at the Teen Health Centre.
