The Challenges for Success Ropes Course is an educational,
training and development tool. All of our facilitators have been
trained in Group Development and Adventure Programming.
Experiences are structured to require the learner to take
initiative, make decisions, and be accountable for the results.
Learners are engaged intellectually, emotionally, socially
and/or physically. Experiential education is a process through
which a learner constructs knowledge, skill and value from
direct experience.
Initiative Games
(top)
Participants and facilitators do some warm-up activities
and then some initiative games.
Generally these activities are used to get everyone acquainted
with each other, establish communication, teamwork
skills, and creative thinking.
Initiative games are also used to gain mutual trust between
group members.
Low ROPES Course
(top)
Each challenge provides a unique opportunity for the group to
develop leadership, teamwork, communication,
problem solving, cooperation and group identity.
The various exercises require the group to work together in a
supportive, creative, and safe environment. Success is based on
how well the team analyzes the problem, allocates both their
manmade and natural resources, and establishes and executes a
plan. After completing each element, our facilitators help the
group reflect upon their experience to explore how they function
as a team. This process allows group members to gain insight
into behaviours that lead to successful and productive teamwork.
High ROPES Course
(top)
The High Ropes Course develops and promotes self-esteem,
self-reliance, self-awareness, and confidence.
The high ropes course will challenge participants to overcome
their preconceived fears and self-imposed barriers. In turn,
every participant will uncover new strengths and abilities that
will aid them.
Safety
(top)
Physical and emotional safety is a priority at
Challenges for Success Ropes Course. At all times while
participating on the high ropes course, participants will wear
an inspected harness and helmet provided by
Challenges for Success Ropes Course. The participant will also
be attached to an inspected belay system.
